Steeping Instructions

Steep 2.5 grams (or about a tablespoon) per 8 ounces boiled water for 4 minutes. Enjoy. Re-steep if inclined.

Recipes & Variations

Our Earl Grey makes an excellent addition to crème brulee. Infuse in the cream of any cream-based dessert, strain, and use cream as recipe follows.

Earl Grey, surprisingly, is our absolute favorite iced tea. Steep hot and strain over ice.

    Lovely flavor, special treat!

    Great service, quick shipping. The Earl Grey Gold has a unique flavor that I especially like to enjoy as my second "afternoon pick me up" cup. The only drawback (and it isn't really) is that the tea leaves are quite long. I may end up crushing them a bit so that they nestle into my measuring spoon a bit better.

    We like to share that there are no rights or wrongs in the world of tea preferences, but FYI, the length of these tea leaves is one quality that makes them so prized. They are hand plucked from the very top of the tea plant and the trichomes (little baby fuzz) are carefully preserved to keep all the antioxidants of the leaves intact.

    If you break them in order to get them into a measuring spoon you will bring out more bitter tannins in the leaf, and if you leave them whole you will experience smoother, chocolatey layered notes. Again, no right or wrong - just options!

    If you don't want to break your leaves you can try measuring them on a gram scale - 2.5 grams per 8 oz water.
