Metolius Tea sources as many ingredients as possible directly from small co-op and family-owned farms. We have found the most vibrant flavors, values and relationships at the community level. Our most cherished farming partnerships practice sustainable farming and affect measurable social impact in their communities.
We use organic cardamom in our Chai concentrate and North loose leaf tea that is sourced from Fedecovera, a cooperative of 120 small family farms in Guatemala committed to education initiatives, women’s empowerment, reforestation, and fair trade. Fedecovera is owned by cooperatives of small-scale farmers and ensures that they benefit from fair prices, working conditions, and the 100% traceable high-quality product standards that allow them to compete in international markets.
